--Director of Technology
- Took over technical leadership of a flagship investment platform product and implemented numerous improvements and enhancements.
- Designed and built a software tool to automate configuration management, replacing a dedicated full-time individual.
- Led software development and quality assurance efforts immediately following a significant restructuring of the company.
- Led the technology efforts on a team dedicated to database development and analytics products. Guided several successful, on-time
software releases coordinating output from local developers and a remote team.
--Director of Site Architecture
- Managed the development group, production site, and software configuration prior to the availability of dedicated personnel for each role.
- Designed and implemented a flexible build management scheme in Visual SourceSafe to support parallel testing and release
of multiple products.
- Led the technology effort for an online communications and knowledge management
product incorporating components from three vendors and internal developers.
- Provided support and advice to members of the
development team concerning architecture and design, technology direction, and legacy code.
- Developed specifications and led the technology effort on a project to present institutional investment holdings data
online.
--Technology Manager
- Joined as the tenth employee and first technologist in the company.
- Led the effort to transition source code,
release management, and production support from an outsourcing vendor to a new
internal technology group.
- Designed a user registration and security
system based on custom COM objects, database schema, and ASP
standards, and led the migration of the web site from Site Server to this system.
1998-1999 Comcast Cellular (now Cingular Wireless), King of Prussia, PA

- Managed of a mixed team of up to thirteen employees and
consultants working disparate projects, including performance reviews. Key
participant in efforts to improve methodology and process.
- Provided technical leadership on projects for finance, sales
and marketing, as well for MIS itself. Responsibilities

- Participated in multiple project phases including planning,
analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
- Charter member of an Architecture Team tasked with reviewing
project solutions and technologies, and synthesizing a long-term strategic technology

compare best practices for web application development.

- For Delmarva Power (now Conectiv), developed a Windows 95 install program
and client interfaces for ReachOut 7.0, a remote access system, using WinBatch and Visual
Basic 3.0 on a Banyan Vines network.
- For Corestates Bank (now First Union), developed ASP code, Visual Basic 5 COM
objects, Access and Oracle 7 database interfaces, and user interface and object
documentation for an Internet banking project.
- For Comcast Cellular (now Cingular Wireless), led the content development team
utilizing IIS 4.0 and MTS 2.0 to build Internet and intranet applications.
Designed interfaces and architecture, wrote ASP and COM object code and documentation, managed up to 6
people, and participated in COM object design and data modelling using SQL Server 6.5.
